….it's all about the company you keep !
"To
be on the cover of Time as Person of the Year is a tremendous honor,"
Trump told the Today show's Matt Lauer. "It’s a very important
magazine, and I’ve been lucky enough to be on the cover many times
this year."
That's
an interesting quote coming from a man who in 2013 called Time
"flimsy" like a "free handout at a parking lot."
I guess he's changed his opinion now that he feels he is among the
world's honored elite. I wonder if he realizes that Time's editors
choose a person yearly that they feel has influenced the events of
the year “FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE”… not
for their sterling character.
A
list of winners is featured on Wikipedia and I wonder if he is proud
to be among these …
1936:
Wallace Simpson (her relationship with King Edward the VIII led to
his
abdicating the throne.)
1938:
Adolph Hitler
1939:
Joseph Stalin
1957:
Nikita Krushchev
1979:
Ayatolah Khomeini
1982:
The Computer... denoted as “machine of the year” to herald the
dawn
of
the Information
Age.
2011:
The Protestor … representing protest movements global wide.
To
quote my good friend Jan … just
sayin'

He's keeping some good company then. Well ... not so good.
The Hitler chair pose for his Time cover is eerily similar to Trump's pose for his Time cover.
So true, and yet another example of how illiterate the man is.
Exactly! For Better or WORSE!
I had to look up that Hitler cover. Gave me chills to read about his popularity rate. I hope we don't ever have that many stupid people in this country.
A neighbor who voted for Trump is not happy that he is backing down on locking Hillary up and the wall is being reduced to a fence and Mexico isn't going to pay for it. "I am very disappointed in him, but maybe he will shape up," he said.
The neighbor was always getting in trouble at work, doing things 'his' way, and always disappointed when someone got promoted ahead of him - and especially when that last guy had a real deep tan! "That was just wrong!" Obama is a Muslim from Kenya, and all that... so Trump was a perfect fit.
Very scary! Just sayin'...
The appointments he is making to the various positions are scary in themselves. Person of the year indeed! Can't argue with that one!
We are indeed in scary times. My jaw is in constant state of dropping.
It's rather upsetting to think that of all the people in the world, Time magazine made this selection. Makes me rather glad that I do not read this publication...just saying indeed!
Don't remember if I left a comment, but excellent post. Yes he's in "outstanding company."
