Crazy weather …
It
was not even November … but last Tuesday we, in North Carolina,
were experiencing an early cold snap. We had just come through the
wrath of hurricane Matthew and many of us were breathing easier with
that behind us. However it seemed early to be so chilly and it made
me wonder if other parts of the country were getting weird stuff too.
I
switched on the weather news and was surprised to hear that parts of
the northeast were actually getting snow ! Finding it hard to
believe I emailed my daughter and her husband who live about an hour
north of New York City and asked if there was any truth to it.
Well,
they say a picture is worth more than a thousand words and I can
attest to that. They didn't write back … just sent this amazing
picture of their back yard !

It has been chilly here for a few days, but it looks like it will be more moderate for the next week or two -- relatively speaking, you understand. :)
Yes, I have heard that some parts of NH had some snow, but we have escaped that form of precipitin here in Nashua, NH so far. In fact, the weather has been unseasonably mild and I am ready for cooler temps and flannel sheets.
It is on the horizon here, Ginnie! Ugh!
Well we put electric blankets on the beds last week so that should guarantee warmer weather! But it was 38 the other morning! Tomorrow however is supposed to be 82. go figure!
I put in my order for a snow storm in January... a couple inches... to melt away the next day. That is an Eastern Shore winter! Fresh flowers on the table from the yard each week. Yes.
Kind of wish we had some of that. We have been in the mid 80s and using the A/C during the day. Goodness.
This unseasonably warm weather coupled with the nasty political ads and lack of gasoline has put a pall over western NC. We definitely missed any cold snap here.
It's coming here soon as well. Winter in Minnesota or my!...:)
We had warmth nail yesterday. Weird weather. Beautiful photo.
