“Mr. President … this is your Higher Power speaking ...
It
isn't enough for you to say you are not a hate monger. You need to
prove it.
On
behalf of the country I ask you to instruct Congress to forge
a bill that calls for a total and complete shutdown of the
inciting and racist rhetoric that comes out of your mouth on a daily
basis.
Unhappily
I fear it is beyond your comprehension but I ask you nonetheless.”

Nice try, Ginnie.
He is a lost cause I fear!
He demonstrated his teleprompter reading and word pronunciation skills, but beyond that ...... what?
Enjoyed reading your book and the tales you shared of experiences along the way to your dream job and exciting life afterward. The years of your youth during WWII would have been quite fun as I think of those years in my own life with a decade older brother in the Navy and the patriotic atmosphere embraced by everyone thin for ally guys in uniform. Am sure the Great Britain troops treasured the hospitality you and your family provided. I can agree with you that the “Mad Men” series — that first episode — presents life as I, too, found it when I started my first TV job beginning in the mid-fifties with a prominent multi-state corporation from which later name entertainers emerged. Much to read between the lines you didn't share, I expect. Life with your husband sounds exciting, then challenging for him, you and the family when his health issues short-circuited his ideal career. Am glad what I imagine could have been coping mechanisms could become re-directed in a healthy way for you. Very upbeat, positive read.
He doesn't listen to his advisers, pretty sure he will ignore the higher power for I think he is convinced he is the higher power.
If only...
However, you need to acknowledge the NEED for a higher power before you tune in and listen to it.
