WORDS FAIL ME ..
“If a relaxing moment turns into the right moment...will you be ready?” So goes the TV commercial for the ED drug Cialis ... but what’s up with the twin bathtubs ?
I’m sure you’ve all seen those commercials. The ones that start with the female performing some mundane task, such as painting a wall or doing dishes. Suddenly the male appears and the magic begins. As the couples gaze lovingly in each others eyes the walls recede, water cascades from nowhere and we’re suddenly trans-ported to the great outdoors.
But here’s the fun part. The couple continues their leisurely walk through Camelot, the music swells and they somehow end up, nude, in separate bathtubs! And, as if that weren’t enough, their walk is accompanied by a low and authoritative voice intoning:
“Always consult your doctor before taking this drug and contact him at once if you have any of these serious side effects: sudden vision loss; ringing in your ears, or sudden hearing loss; chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling; irregular heartbeat; swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet; shortness of breath; seizure (convulsions); vision changes; feeling light-headed, fainting; or penis erection that is painful or lasts 4hours or longer. This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur”
Gets you all tingling inside, doesn’t it?
I guess the commercials are effective but, being a skeptic and a female I see it more like this:

All I can imagine the bathtubs are doing is making you remember ... and you did. Therefore, it is (as you said) effective. LOL. I agree it's ridiculous, though.
Giggling!
Every time I see that commercial, my reaction is--YEAH, right!
I mean, sitting in bathtubs side by side in the great outdoors. What is the point of that?
Me too, giggling..sheesh.
I am going to bed now and not in the bathtub.
My wife laughs about the erection lasting longer than four hours. Those are some embarrassing commercials.
Your comment bubbles are priceless.
I don't see much logic in the separate tubs but those guys are really great looking.
I haven't seen this one, but I thoroughly enjoyed the post. It's good to smile on a Monday morning.
I've never seen an "ED" ad on British TV, but I bet that there will be one along any minute now.
We have been spared so far!
I hate these commercials. Have they no shame?? Dianne
Oh I just love you Ginnie!! Thanks for the laugh, I needed it today, LOL!! Love Di ♥
If I had read all those side effects, I would be so scared that I would just let her keep on washing dishes and painting the wall.
After hearing about the side effects, it does make us wonder if the meds are worth taking the risk.
