Is the almighty dollar the only thing that we believe in now?

... it will be if Trump has his way !

Sitting American presidents do not typically attend the World Economic Forum because of its association with the wealthy power brokers of the world..., but that's not the case with Trump.

He's thrilled to be heading to Davos despite his pledges to scrap free trade deals and taking an isolationist stance with our country. At a signing event putting high tariffs on some solar energy and washing machines, he told reporters "I'm going to Davos. We're going to be talking about investing in the United States again, for people to come and spend their money in the good ol' USA."

I was willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt when he was elected but, ever since he has been in office he has proved to be no more than a sleaze talking bully. He has spent hours and hours of the time that he should have been governing demeaning others (most specifically Obama) and writing those ridiculous tweets that seldom pass the truth test.

But I think the thing that bothers me most is that he seems to be heartless and knows nothing about compassion. Is our great country doing the same thing? Has the almighty dollar become our bottom line or can we rise above him and show the world that we still care. I fear we won't make it in the long run if we let this happen.

There must be some personal gain for him involved with this trip, Ginnie. It appears it is his main concern!

Fortunately there are enough of us 99%'ers to keep the wheels on. I hope so anyway.

Marie is absolutely right. Everything he does is for personal gain - or he doesn't do it. Sadly, it is seldom if ever in the Country's best interest.
sadder still, he doesn't realize he is his own worst enemy. We have lost so much respect as a country. It will take a real miracle to make America Great again after he gets done ruining it. And I thought Bush was bad starting a war.
Sad.

It is indeed unfortunate that he has disappointed so many voters who had hoped for better things for the USA.

Please God help us all and our beloved country survive this awful man. And God bless Ginnie. Barb and Ray (The Troutbirders)

There was a time when you wouldn't have even built a caricature of such a president.

Just to add a note here- he is the only president to be BOOed at one of these summits. How sad is that?
