The "Two Wolves" within us all....
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, “My son, the battle is between the two ‘wolves’ inside us all.
One is called EVIL. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false price, superiority and ego.
The other is GOOD. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.
The grandson thought about this for a minute or two and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

To some degree at least this is yet more terminology for somewhat similar concepts in my recent post, Similar Truths. Not exactly maybe but along those lines.
I am going to send this to an old friend from high school who does nothing all day but look t the computer and forward stuff he finds - usually about the Dems or about illegal aliens. It is all so hateful. I want to tell him to quit feeding his evil wolf!
Oh so true. We need daily reminders that we not feed the evil wolf.
Being of Cherokee desent, I relate to this. It's So true. Came by way of Anvilclouds blog. Nice post! Have a happy night!
This gave me shivers, it is so true.
Ginnie, This one is a keeper for sure. And I love Judy's idea. Too many nuts out there.
I've read this before and always loved it! SO much truth to it.
